Adrinetbook second SC was successfully held on 3rd November 2020

The Adrinetbook project, financed by INTERREG ADRION PROGRAMM 2014/2020, aims at promoting, valorizing and protecting cultural heritage in the Adriatic-Ionian area and focuses on the development of virtual collections through digitization processes as an important contribution to the preservation of cultural heritage in a sustainable and modern way.

22 representatives from all partners took part in this event (Municipality of Macerata, (IT) Lead Partner, Central Institute for the Union Catalogue of Italian Libraries (IT), Municipality of Gjirokastra (AL), Museum of Contemporary Art Zagreb (HR), Zadar County Rural Development Agency (HR), the Municipality of Thassos (GR) the Research and Educational Centre Mansion Rakičan (SI) and the University Library ”Svetozar Markovic” (RS), which has not officially joined the project yet but whose replacement is now under validation from the programme Joint Secretariat).

The meeting was the occasion to introduce the new Serbian Partner, the University Library ''Svetozar Markovic''. Due to the withdrawal of the National Library of Serbia, the LP started the procedure to request the partner replacement, which is still ongoing.

The meeting aimed at explaining project’s activities that are going to start soon, in particular:

  • Digitization training and sharing of digitization guidelines. This activity, overseen by ICCU, will start in December 2020 and will involve partner’s internal experts, who will be trained in the digitization process;
  • Administration to all partners of the Survey, elaborated by RIS and aiming at assessing the state of the art regarding tourism and marketing strategies. Partners are asked to answer this survey by involving local stakeholders too. In that way, it will be possible to map territories’ best practices, which will serve as a starting point to the identification of tourism strategy linked to digitized items.

Adrinetbook is now getting into the thick of things.
