The concrete results to be achieved during the project and on its completion are:

  • Development of a Roadmap for Designing Local Strategies for Climate Neutral Cities to upskill municipal employees;
  • Development of a «Transition to Climate Neutral Cities» training course;
  • Development of «Success Stories of initiatives for the Transition to climate neutrality in cities» videos;
  • Development of a «Transition to Climate Neutral Cities» Online Hub.

The project objectives are linked to the selected priorities in the following manner:

Priority: Environment and Fight against Climate Change By increasing the capacity of professionals to deal with Climate Neutrality issues accurately and efficiently, they will be better equipped to transform their local authority with green initiatives and actions, in that way combating climate change locally. Furthermore, they will be able to promote and disseminate sustainable good practices to the local community, and mobilize other local stakeholders towards climate neutrality. Priority: Addressing digital transformation through development of digital readiness, resilience and capacity. The target group participants will be equipped with innovative digital learning tools, as well as trained on how to use them and involve them in their work, and enable distance learning. Priority: Vocational Education and Training: Adapting vocational education and training to labour market needs: By training and upskilling professionals in designing climate neutral city strategies, sustainable development and digital innovation, they will be put in a better position to assess and combat modern market needs and trends, especially regarding climate issues.
